Terms and Conditions

Product Guarantee of Satisfaction
The utmost care is taken in the selection, preparation and packaging of all  products at Gretel’s Gingerbread. We guarantee the freshness, quality and value of all our products. All our products are labelled according to the NZ and Australian Food Standards Code for food ingredient labelling. Our gingerbread do not contain any colourings, preservatives, additives or agents.

Refund/Replacement Policy/No Further Liability
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your product, it will be replaced for you, exchanged for a product of the same value, or the total amount will be refunded, providing goods are returned within 28 days of receipt. Cost of return shipping shall be the responsibility of the customer.

Except to the limited extent set out in the preceding paragraph, we do not accept any liability for any claim, action, demand, suit, loss, legal fee or other cost or expense of any kind whether directly or indirectly arising from any defect in any product supplied by us to you or any delay or failure on our part to supply any products ordered by you.  

Privacy Policy
Gretel’s Gingerbread is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers and using any information collected in a responsible manner. We want your shopping experience with us to be safe, satisfying, convenient and as enjoyable as possible so your privacy is 100% guaranteed on this site.

We collect details such as your first and last names, your delivery address, telephone number and email address when you register for our services or purchase our products. This information is used so we can contact you, let you know when your product has been despatched and keep you informed of any new products or services. This information is never sold, traded or shared with any third party.

Financial information (credit card numbers, credit card expiration dates, billing address, etc.) that is collected is used to bill you for products and services. We do not sell or rent your financial information to anyone. Any personal information you provide to Gretel's Gingerbread will be collected and held by Gretel's Gingerbread at its official place of business in New Zealand set out at the end of these terms and conditions or as advised on the website from time to time.  If you are an individual under the Privacy Act 1993, you have rights of access to and correction of the personal information that Gretel's Gingerbread holds.  You are entitled, at any time, to request access to your personal information held by Gretel's Gingerbread and to ask us to change any details that may be incorrect or out of date.  No fee will be charged but Gretel's Gingerbread may charge you the reasonable costs of providing you with copies of the information that you have requested. 

You may, from time to time, receive information from us about new features, new services and special offers we think you'll find valuable.

You may opt-out of receiving future mailings from Gretel’s Gingerbread by following the procedure outlined at the bottom of all emailed correspondence.

Pricing and Payment Policy
All prices stated are in NZ dollars and are inclusive of GST (Goods and Services Tax).

Currency Converter

The currency converter is provided to your own personal use so that you may calculate how much the products will cost you in your currency of your country when you place your order.  You must bear in mind that conversion rates will only be estimates for that particular day.  Currencies throughout the world are not static and their conversion rate changes frequently.  The charges made to your account will be determined by your credit card company at the time the completed transaction is processed by them (not us).

Price Changes
We reserve the right to change any advertised prices. These changes however will not affect any order that is submitted before price changes are made.

Payments
We accept Mastercard and Visa. If paying by credit card your order will be processed within 48 hours (during working days). Should credit card authorisation be unsuccessful, we will email you. Full payment will be debited from your nominated credit or debit cards before the goods are dispatched to you. Likewise all cheques will be processed and cleared before goods are dispatched.

Order by Mail
If you prefer to order by mail rather than using the secure online transaction system, print out your order form instead of clicking on the "Submit Secure Order" button and mail it to us. You will still be able to provide your credit card details for payment or we accept NZ$ denominated cheques or money orders. Please make any certified cheque or money orders payable to "Gingerbread Specialities". Cheques or money orders are to be attached to your order form and sent to Gingerbread Specialities, PO Box 180 156, Luckens Point, Auckland 0663, New Zealand. All cheques will require bank clearance before the dispatch of goods. We will require an email address or fax number to keep in contact with you and to keep you notified as to the progress of your order and its dispatch date.

Order by Fax or Phone
If you prefer to order by fax or phone rather than using the secure online transaction system, either print out your order form and fax to us at +64 9 4160601 or call us on +64 9 4160601 and have your credit card ready before placing your order. If you are faxing, please ensure that your credit card details are entered onto the order form before printing and faxing to us.

Right to Refuse
In the interests of reducing fraudulent use of the payment system we reserve the right to refuse or reject any order sent to us.

Security
To safeguard your credit card information we use 256bit SSL -  a highly advanced  security system which encrypts all ordering information so that no part of your order including your payment details can be read in transit. Please see our privacy policy for more information.

Shipping/Delivery Policy

All orders are shipped within 1-7 days. If for any reason we are unable to ship your order within this time frame, we will notify you by email.  If your order is urgent, please contact us and we will arrange whatever is possible. 

International Orders
Our shipping charges cover the cost of transporting the goods to your delivery address but do not include any duties or taxes charged by customs. Nor do our product prices include export fees, duties, tariffs or other charges that may be associated with exporting the products.

All products purchased from Gretel’s Gingerbread are subject to a shipping contract. This means that any risk of loss and damage made during delivery become the responsibility of the carrier and then become your risk.

Unable to Deliver
Delivery is made by the postal service and can be made to a physical address or to a post office box number. If for any reason we are unable to fulfill delivery requirements, we will contact you by email and you will have the option to provide an alternative forwarding address for your goods or to cancel your order and have your money refunded in full.

No responsibility however can be taken for incorrect address details and shall remain the customer's responsibility. Gretel’s Gingerbread will happily make amendments if notified early enough to check the details before despatching the order.

Product Availability
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be notified immediately by email or fax and offered an alternative or given a full refund. At your request we may either hold the order until goods arrive in stock, replace the order with other items that we ask you to choose or part ship the goods but not at any additional expense to you.

Use of the Site
You may use the content of this site only for the purposes of shopping on this site or placing an order and for no other purpose. Any unauthorised use of the materials appearing on this site may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws. Permission is granted to electronically copy and to print hard copy portions of this site for the purpose of viewing recipes, placing an order with Gretel’s Gingerbread or using this site as a shopping or viewing resource. Any other use of materials on this site including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above without prior consent of Gretel’s Gingerbread is strictly forbidden.

Changes to the Site
We reserve the right to make changes to the website, policies and these terms and conditions at any time.
